Ear Rebirth

Ear Rebirth, the first single I released, is quite special to me because it’s so symbolic. Several years ago, I was hit by a blast of feedback in a rehearsal room. Since then I’ve had tinnitus and hyperacusis. It’s often disabling, but I decided not to let it stop me and to keep making music by adapting to these heavy constraints.

With Ear Rebirth, I tried to depict what I feel during a relapse. The guitar solo, for example, represents the ringing of tinnitus. So it’s a track full of emotion and energy.

Another particularity: the beginning and the end are in 19/8, a very rare time signature. The middle is in 6/8.

You can find more about how this track was made on my blog (in French).
