Here is my entry for a music production challenge run by a French community. The rules required using the free Fury-800 synth plugin, a supplied MIDI file and vocal elements such as a sample from the INA (the French national audiovisual archive).

WHAT DID I DO?

I took the bass line from the MIDI file and used it for the organ. I also took the long rising scale (played backwards). Everything was transposed to minor.
The organ uses the Fury800 (FULL ORGAN preset, doubled an octave up). Another bit of melody uses the SYNTHICORDII preset.
Finally, I sampled an excerpt of a TV news broadcast from this 1975 INA video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-DjzP0hbVs

Enjoy!
